Home Repairs

I wrote this last year after a summer of hard work on the house.  I’ll share it here, just for fun, because I’m sure somebody knows what I’m talking about!

We bought a house a year ago

And there was so much we did not know!

We thought we knew what it would take

But this summer didn’t get a break.

We did not know what we should do,

So we were feelin’ kinda blue.

Then God stepped in and led the way

Like He always does every day.

We cringed and moaned at all the work

Just wondering how not to go berserk.

But wisdom comes with faith and trust

So God gave peace, which is a must!

We worked and worked and worked some more

And sometimes it was a real big bore.

We didn’t always know how it would end

Then God provided us with friends.

We have had help along the way

People willing to help and even pay.

We are so grateful for your sacrifice,

Your time and money are a big price.

We could not do this on our own,

Life is not meant to be lived alone.

Thank you, Lord, for your provision

and this life we currently live in.
