  1. Hi Rachael. My entry went over one thousand, so I won’t be posting this week, but I enjoyed writing the story. However, I don’t see the prompt to next week. What is it, please? Thanks.

    1. Was it way over? Maybe I can still add it in. Did I miss the post? :/ next week’s word is scar. 🙂

      1. It’s almost 2k. That’s fine–it was just a bigger story than I thought, so I didn’t post it. Flash is 1k or less. I don’t have to have an entry every week. The same thing happened with distance, only that one went 3k. I’ll still read everyone else’s story and vote.

And I’ll start thinking about scar. 🙂

  4. The Dude is here, with “:Reaching For God”; probably the shortest story I’ll ever write. Heard the Big Voice yell, ‘STOP HERE’, so I did.
    Genre’s Inspirational…I hope.

    1. ❤ I just skipped over to your blog to check on you! Then all the sudden I get a notification you're over at my blog letting us know about The Dude. Great timing. 🙂 I'm excited to read!

      1. You know what they say…great minds think alike! I’ll really be interested to know what you think, because the story was originally much more involved, and I had the really strong feeling that what’s there now was what’s essential…everything else dulled the impact, and was excised (but saved…it’s not lost).

        1. 🙂 I will have to read it soon! I’m glad you saved the unedited version, too.

  7. Here is my story for this week! Alas I went 15 words over so I don’t qualify for voting. http://icameforthesoup.com/2015/10/06/a-world-between-part-4-of-man-of-grace-week-30-log-battle-reach/

    1. LOL You are fine. As long as you’re not like 250 words over then you’ve done well. 😀 1000 words is a tough limit on a short story!

      1. I think at this point I should call it a chapter since M.O.G keeps going lol. I don’t want to rush it but I would like to wrap it up within The next couple weeks. I am prayerfully considering stretching it into a more detailed novel…maybe 70k words or less.
