Auntie’s Bookstore, Other Fun, and Me

Aunties signing poster

We are preparing for an exciting weekend here in Spokane, Washington. There are stacks of books waiting to be signed, ready to find a new home with you. There are activities galore being prepared in downtown for the enjoyment of kids and grownups alike. It’s just going to be a great weekend!

Auntie’s Bookstore will be rocking all afternoon, and I get to start the show! On Saturday there’s a big Easter egg hunt sponsored by One Heart Spokane over at Riverfront Park at noon, and once you’ve had your fun there you can walk south to Main Ave and hop on in to Auntie’s where I’ll be from 1:30-3:00 PM.

Right after my slot there’ll be another author to check out, and later in the evening they are hosting an Acoustic Open Mic Night! How cool is that? It is going to be a fun-filled Saturday. I hope to meet you there!

If she’s not writing you’ll find her being social on Facebook & Twitter, doing laundry (the real never ending story), or hanging out with her husband and kids.

  1. Cheering you on through spirit and wishing I could’ve been there!
I hope you were feeling well during your time at Auntie’s bookstore, too, hoping that cold/sickness is gone.
How did your time at Auntie’s go? Were you nervous? I’m so excited for you that you got to do this, I want to hear all about it!

    1. I hope your foot is doing better. Healing up nicely? Getting REST? You better be!

Auntie’s was great! I had a fun time and was feeling good enough, though not 100%. I’m still working on that, but today was a good day. The coughing is definitely getting better finally. 🙂 I was nervous for this book signing. Since Auntie’s is our biggest local independent book store in Spokane area I really wanted to make a good impression.

      1. Lol, I should probably be resting more than I am, but I am “trying” to. 😉 It’s a little better, but tbh it should be much better than it is right now, so I’m concerned…
I can imagine you hid all those nerves well and had the biggest, brightest smile that everybody was drawn to you. 🙂 I bet you are a local star now!

        1. That would help sell books, but no. Haha

Seriously, take care of that foot! Do you go back to doc?

          1. You are a local star to me! ^_^
Yeahhh, I went to the doc yesterday and learned I have a fracture… Needless to say life is frustrating and painful right now. 😦

            1. Star-ter anyway. Haha thanks.
But not cool about the foot! I’m so sorry. Are you in a walking bout or a cast now? Take it easy. Unless is one of those breaks they say it’s better to walk on a bit…

            2. Star-ter, lol, you crack me up with your clever manipulation of words!
I’m wearing the “boot” so not a cast. I feel like a lazy sloth though not being able to run about or use my exercise bike. Probably a good thing it’s too cold outside to be out, or I might complain even more, lol. 😉 Are there breaks you’re supposed to walk on? I haven’t heard of that, it’s interesting.

            3. Some might call my word manipulation laziness, but I find myself quite amusing. 🙂 Ahhh, the boot! I hope the weather improves for you, but that it doesn’t make you want to complain more. haha Some minor ones I guess it’s a good thing to just keep walking on them, that they mend faster that way…it was just something I heard in passing once. I have no idea of the value or truth of it in all reality.

    1. Thanks! As long as I don’t have to cough every two seconds we’ll be great. I feel so much better, though. Now I need to get caught up on stuff, but am trying not to over do. My hubby is so sweet and making sure I get extra rest. The signing will be short one, but I’m hoping for big success! ❤

Don’t push yourself too hard though, you’re still recovering from the ‘Yuck’.
