What I’m Working On

Okay, projects are piling up! So many ideas. Well, here’s one I’ve been focused on a lot for the last couple weeks. I’m building this from the ground up and still have lots of research to do to make sure it’s factual parts are accurate, but I thought I’d share the inspirational poster I made for the screenplay project. Maybe it will stir up some excitement. Who knows.

Aegis of ZARA poster

Pretty cool stuff right here! I can’t wait to release this story on the world. It will be epic, as my son likes to say.

If nothing else, I hope this has inspired you to get back to your writing.

Got any questions? I’m always happy to answer questions! And sometimes I’ll even give the right answer! πŸ™‚

Salut

    1. The plan is a screenplay, but there’s so much great backstory that I’ve developed, I could really turn this into something else entirely. It’s terrible and wonderful how once I get started it’s difficult to stop. The imagination can certainly run wild! Almost too wild. It often must be reined in. haha

  1. Oh man, I get the piling up thing. LOL we are in the same boat there. But I am grateful that the pile is filled with creative wonder as well as sprinkles of the mundane…we do need the mundane to keep us grounded, right? πŸ˜‰

  2. hey there – no offense but these comments are truly epic! they give your poster a run for it’s money, inspiration wise. anyway i came by looking for your weekly writing contest but only now realized i’m a day early – maybe the meds still need to wear off πŸ˜› thanks again for the kind words!

    1. Oh, thanks Mac! It’s fun hearing about everyone’s projects, knowing that there are worlds of creativity around every corner. πŸ™‚ I’ve actually stopped updated Blog Battle. I’m going to take a break and come up with a new prompt idea to work on. I have the prompts set up until the end of the year, though, so I’m still checking it for links to stories that I can promote on social media. Are you feeling a bit better? Strong meds? πŸ™‚

      1. well every battle must come to an end. keep me posted on your new prompt idea rachael. yeah the meds for the sinus pain/pressure are a doozy, but hey they work. i’m on the mend but it’s something to keep in mind allergies are much easier to keep on top of rather than trying to get out from under them. alright one week off is all i can afford if i want to keep momentum so it’s off to write i go! cheers – im.

    1. I’m not nearly as productive as I’d like to be, really. I haven’t even started the writing of book 4 in my Chronicles series yet. I am not blogging regularly. I have no idea what I’m doing lately. lol And thanks! I just go the picture from pixabay and added a teaser of my idea to inspire me daily. πŸ™‚

      1. I think that’s a common feeling. Sometimes you get bombarded by so many things it’s hard to know where to be with it all. Speaking if your books, I haven’t read the third one yet. Need to get on that. πŸ€” You’ll get there with it all, I’m sure. And inspiration is always good. Did I see something somewhere about you converting beauty thief to a script?

        1. I did writing The Beauty Thief as a script. It’s just sitting here collecting dust at the moment, but I’ll do something with it eventually. Maybe I’ll learn how to make an actual movie and make it myself. At the very least, it sounds like Hollywood requires that I set it up as an entire package nowadays. A package means basically having a director and either a casting director or a couple known actors attached to the project plus having a marketing plan or possibilities for merchandising. It’s crazy what’s expected, really.

          1. Hm. That makes me think of the traditional publishing industry and one reason people self publish. I guess making a movie yourself is a it harder than publishing a novel. Well, maybe not harder, but practically more difficult? I think it would make an awesome film though. 😊

            1. πŸ™‚ Thanks, V. πŸ™‚ The real obstacle to making a movie is the money. Have to find backers for that, otherwise, I’m all over the idea of developing it myself. haha I love everything about theater, on screen and off, in front of the camera and behind. The whole process has always fascinated me. Maybe someday, if I do it, you’ll come over and help me…Or maybe I’ll film in UK. πŸ˜€

            2. With the world of crowdfunding, you never know what’s going to be possible one day. 😊 Filming in the UK… Do you envision a lot of scenes in the rain? πŸ˜₯ I’ve always wanted to hold one of those clapper boards though… 😁

      1. It’s been life more than writing lately but, when it comes to busy, let’s say we’re the pot and the kettle, shall we? πŸ˜‰ You’re the inspiration. Unless you’ve cloned yourself. Then it’s just unfair.

      1. Amanda in New Mexico-Ghosts in the Wind has just gone through the final editing process and is at the printer as we speak. So much work!! But IΒ΄ve already started Amanda in Holland-Lost in Action. Amanda just canΒ΄t stop travelling! I will use the word epic in this next novel. I love hearing about the words kids use now.

        1. Darlene, that’s so great! I am super impressed by your prolific work and ideas that keep growing. Amanda is a lucky girl to have an author like you. πŸ™‚ My almost ten year old uses Epic. You might also look in to the word “lit” which is a newer word for “cool.” πŸ™‚

            1. I’ve the last Eternals book at the publisher now. I’ve another Steampunk book done and ready, and a really large trilogy I’m working on. I’ve over seventy thousand words written and stashed LOL
