Hey ho, y’all! Another day, and we’re getting into the swing of the new school year. I hope all is well with you. I homeschool my youngest, and it’s hard to fit anything in between lessons, but one thing I can work on is book design. Since I’ve been a little bit stressed out the last week or so, it has been a huge relief to work on something creative like cover design.
I’m going to be retiring some of the covers I’ve designed in the past that are still available and some will go on sale. You can click here to check out what there is at this moment. I’ll announce when I’ve put stuff on sale. If you see a cover you want there, let me know and we maybe can work out a deal. Always keep in mind that I’m super flexible about the pre-made designs. We can adjust font and even some parts of the images!
Below are the newest additions to my pre-made designs. Don’t let the author names or titles throw you off! They’re only there for show purposes, to help you imagine what it might look like with your title and name.
What inspires you to work on something creative? Or do creative acts inspire you to other, loftier ideals?

What do ya think? Got a favorite? What are your current WIPs? What genre do you write? What do you look for in a cover?
So many questions I have for you.
Happy Creating!
These are great, I’ll have to pick your brains on how you did them 🙂

I have some ideas but not sure, exactly, yet. Regardless, I’ll be contacting you to design it. 🙂

Oh boy! 043 comes just so close to what would fire up my book, save there are three characters.
I’m keeping the page on my favourites.
Such a talent Rachael. I am in awe.

Love it! I’ll set that aside for you if you want and we can see about adjusting as needed. 🙂

Thanks Rachael
I did have a tentative ‘cover’ ”publishing’ fund building up, but as happens when you get to the 60s stage in these difficult times you find children and grandchildren need ‘bailing out’ or just plain help.
Thus it kind of evaporated…..
But we shall see:
‘Tomorrow is another day’ 😃

I have to admit, I went against advice and designed my own cover for my latest book. It’s the latest of many images I created while I was writing the book. I found fiddling around with images to be a good way to take a break from the writing part without disengaging from the story altogether.

I’m in total agreement, Audrey. The designing, if nothing else, not only keeps you connected to the book but it works your creative muscles in a slightly different way which seems to help in the overall writing subconscious. 🙂 Are you still working on it?

Actually, I’ve published the ebook. It’s on pre-order until Nov. 7th. You can see the cover on my blog — the post called “She Comes Forth!” (Book’s title is She Who Comes Forth).
