Creative Blogger Award

It’s been a little while since I’ve received a nomination for a blogging award, and it always reminds me how thankful I am for the blogging community. I joined just over a year ago. It took me several years of hearing the occasional, “why don’t you blog?” statement and writing a book to finally take the plunge. It was the best decision! I’ve had opportunity to get to know so many great people across the globe because of blogging and other social media outlets. You are amazing, my friends.

So this particular nomination is for the Creative Blogger Award.

I was nominated by the lovely and fun Lizzy at MyLittleBookBlog. Thank you Lizzy! It warms my heart to know you enjoy my blog!

As many of you are aware, we’ve started this little thing called #BlogBattle where we’re writing creative short stories every week. We don’t expect it to be your best work, but we do want to encourage each other to stretch beyond our comfort zones and exercise the creative muscles. Because of this fun activity, I’ve gotten to immerse myself in plenty of creative blogs lately! How very fun! Some of the blogs I’ll list will be participants, and other will be people I wish would participate. haha

Here are The Rules

Nominate 15-20 blogs and notify all nominees via their social media or blogs

Thank the blogger who nominated you and post the link of said blog

FACTS

#1 Because I enjoy Doctor Who, it was inevitable that I would NEED to have themed notifications on my phone. Please send me more emails, texts, & tweets! I love to hear, “No, I’m the clever one. You’re the potato one,” and “Spoilers.”

#2 My computer station, where I do most of my writing, is next to my washer/dryer area and yet I am always behind on laundry. I have no idea how this is possible . . . or do I? (that little bit’s for Ssenlrak. 😉 )

#3 I’m kinda in love with Captain America, which my kids hate. They are willing to believe it only when I tell them that Daddy is secretly Captain America. Hey, he’s just an all-around cool guy! 🙂

#4 I sing in the shower. I sing while I brush my teeth, do the dishes, clean the toilet, walk down the sidewalk, traipse through the grocery store . . . I sing a lot. I sing as though life were an operetta where some dialog is spoken but much is sung. My kids do not always appreciate this about me. 🙂

#5 I am a DIY home repairs freak. This doesn’t mean I always enjoy it, but if it involves overcoming some obstacle and learning something new, I’m probably in the midst of it.

Enjoy these, my nominations (in no particular order):

  1. BlondeWriteMore – Writer/Blog Aficionado
  2. E. Rawls – Writer/Fantasy/YA/Poetry
  3. PhoenixGrey85 -Writer/Blog Serials
  4. Ssenlrak – Writer at heart/BlogBattler
  5. Let’s Cut the Crap – Writer/Blogger/Bright-side looker
  6. Sarah Colliver – Writer/Dog walker in the Forest of Dean
  7. Darren Scanlon – Writer/Poetry prose practitioner
  8. Candice Coates – Writer/Artist
  9. J.A. Merkel – Writer/YA dystopian fantasy/teacher abroad
  10. Nicholas Hughes -Writer/Lover of Cake
  11. Richard Ankers -Writer/Poetry
  12. Ian Probert – Writer/Middle Grade books/Occasional journalist
  13. Anna Dobritt – Writer/Fantasy
  14. Raphaela – Writer/Poet/Artist/LOVER of LIFE
  15. Pvirant – Writer/teacher abroad

You’ll find they all have something in common, of course. I expect not all of them will accept this kind award, but they will appreciate it none-the-less because they are just the nicest people!

Many thanks!

Congrats on the award, and thanks so much for nominating me! ❤
I love the facts you shared. Now I know who Captain America really is, hehe. 😉 It's so fun that you sing wherever you go, even grocery shopping. I need to start doing this. But why would your kids not like that? Lol, I bet some day they will do the same thing with their kids. 😉

I think you’re right, E. For now, it is a bit embarrassing, which is a mother’s prerogative, I believe.

Congratulations on YOUR award and thank you so much for including me on your list of honours…I am flattered that you thought of me.

I too sing in the shower, where I believe the acoustics are phenomenal and I sound amazing (not like a screaming banshee as the rest of my family imply.) I know that if I am not singing, something is out of sync with me and am always relieved when the notes begin once again!

Nice to read all about you! 🙂

Sarah, I am so happy to include you!
The shower is the best. The bathroom does have great solo acoustics. haha My family does, on occasion, make the rude noises and grunts when I sing, but for the most part they are used to it now. 🙂 I feel the same about not singing, too. Something’s not right! 🙂

Congratulations on the award. You and your blog deserve it. 🙂 I sing a lot too. My family get rather fed up with it. But I love to sing. Thank you (again) for the nomination. That you thought of me makes me smile. 🙂

I couldn’t NOT think of you! We’ll have to have a duo of singing a conversation in public some time. That would be fun! 🙂

I stopped accepting awards some time ago to allow newer members the opportunity to shine, but it is a special honor to be chosen. Thanks again. ❤ ❤
