Character Name Pronunciations

The Book Signing Mug Shot! :)

Here’s a video highlighting the pronunciations of character names throughout The Beauty Thief. It also tells you a little about some of the characters and their connections.

I hope it’s helpful! 🙂

When it comes down to it, I’m happy with however you choose to pronounce the names in the book. The only thing I want is for you to enjoy it. 🙂

It was a good idea to do this. I often struggle with pronunciation in fantasy books. I dd have a strange thought while I was watching the video though – when I read the Beauty Thief I’m “hearing” the voices and words in a British accent, but when you wrote them, you “heard” them in an American accent. That kind of affects pronunciation as well. Hm. Interesting.

Haha, I’ll make a British accent pronunciation video, too. Except, I don’t have a good solid British accent. 😉

Nice idea making a video so we can all know for sure if we’re pronouncing names right! I might do something like this for my books, too.

That’s great, E.! I thought about doing a write up of pronunciations, but this was easier. Haha
