Okay, so she’s not that old or from that long ago, but I miss her. Does anybody remember Grecca? She’s my futuristic, sci-fi, spoiled brat character from Blog Battles last year. I love her slightly sarcastic character and want to develop her story, give it a real background and go with it.
What do you think? Was/Is she a strong enough character to make something REAL and special out of her?
If you want to read the Blogbattle stories that involve Grecca, you can go here to my battle stories page and read them all…they all have her name in the title. 🙂 Then you can tell me if she’s a character you could sink your mental teeth into!
Actually. . . here are all the links to make it easy (start from the bottom and work your way up. (I left Mad Mona’s story in there ’cause she’s pretty spiffy too)):

I’m late to this post but YES! I’ve been waiting for a Grecca novel!! She’s such a fun, crazy, fashionable character, I just love that gal. 🙂 When are you playing to start? 😀

I’m thinking I’ll start on it in bits and pieces in Sept then dive in from there. I’m thinking I might wattpad it? What do you think?

I think Wattpad might be a good place for Grecca! I haven’t used that platform yet, but it’s something I would like to try with a novella. I think your Grecca would fit right in with that platform and hopefully bring readers to your website and other books. You can make Grecca into a free ebook after a year or so later, then, too. 🙂

I enjoyed reading the Grecca stories. She’s different to the type of characters I usually read. Someone who needs bringing down to earth. 🙂 I say go for it. If a character’s nagging you, it’s usually for a good reason.

Thanks Phoenix. You’ve got a good head for characters, and that’s solid advice! 🙂

Hi Rachael
I was not around the scene when Grecca made her first appearance.
Having read through her episodes I reckon there’s a potential here. Someone having to reappraise life and get their hands ‘dirty’ bringing out the tougher and more positive side. It would be an interesting journey. Potential for melding comedy, sf, thriller & drama.
What’s there not to like?

It definitely needs work and the storyline would change, but the bones are basically there. I think you hit the nail on the head with that description! Thanks for reading through it, Roger! 😀
