#BlogBattle 29 Story Theme: Ride

Cool Trivia: Week 29 falls on the 29th day of the 9th month. 🙂

Look for everyone’s stories using #BlogBattle on Twitter, too! Wednesday, the poll gets added. Be sure to read them all. All the links will open in a new window so that you can easily navigate back to this list.

RULES for VOTING: Anyone can vote as long as you’ve read ALL the stories for this week by 10 PM PDT, SUNDAY. Vote for your TOP 3 favorites. Winner announced on Monday! (With as many great stories as get submitted, I think we all need just a little more time to read them and vote!)

Rules:

  1. 1000 words max
  2. fictional tale (or true if you really want)
  3. PG (no more than PG-13) Content – let’s keep this family friendly!
  4. Your story must contain the word(s) from the theme and/or be centered around the theme in a way that shows it is clearly related
  5. Go for the entertainment value!
  6. State the Genre of your story at the top of your post.
  7. Post your story on Tuesday, by 11:59 PM PST
  8. Use the hashtag #BlogBattle when tweeting your story, put a linkback to your #BlogBattle Short Story in the comments section of this page, and/orinclude a link to this page in your own blog post(it creates a “ping-back” which will alert me and our friends to your #BlogBattle post)
  9. Have fun!

    Here’s mine, I’m not sure of the genre, maybe Inspirational/Contemporary, I don’t think it would fit in Science Fiction, it’s not that science Fictioney, lol. I know you challenged me with the western genre, but that is soooo out of my realm, so glad it got filled up this week, phew…thanks David. LOL.

    ROFL. Somewhere along the way I swear I saw mention of “train” as the prompt… But it’s obviously “ride.”
    Ehh, well, I think it still works. Now I have to wonder, what would I have written if I’d gotten the word down correctly?

      Oh man, David. I’m beginning to wonder if I was typing in my sleep at some point in time (which I wouldn’t put past me) and gave two different prompt words for the week. haha For some reason there’s been confusion all around, but whatever story you wrote, I’m sure it’s going to be good. 🙂
